The IT Business Consultant provides technology planning and project management expertise for multiple, concurrent, medium sized projects, from initiation through to Ministry completion. Responsibilities include providing consulting services, managing projects, and planning ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system standards and interfacing requirements of other ministries and agencies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, and related experience. A combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Related experience must include the following:
- Two years experience providing business analysis and advisory services for IT systems and projects.
- Two years experience leading and managing IT projects and project teams including managing budgets, projects and vendor resources.
- Demonstrated experience in investigating and implementing complex IT integration challenges.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, testing, implementing software and hardware solutions.
- Experience in writing and reviewing project documentation (e.g. project plans, communication plans, etc.)
- Experience in writing briefing notes and, developing and delivering presentations for Executive.

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement.
