Job Description:
Ericsson's Vancouver Development Site is currently looking for a GUI (Java) Specialist to join our NetOP Development Team. The NetOp product suite currently provisions network wide services, and we are creating solutions that will support traffic engineering. Reporting to our NetOp Development Manager, you must have proven experience in software development for graphical user interfaces, using Enterprise Java and Java Server Faces. Past experience with telecommunication equipment and/or network/element management solutions is preferred. As the qualified candidate you will have a B.Sc. Computer Science or the equivalent degree and a minimum of 5 to 8+ years of relevant industrial software development experience. You are a team player and a highly motivated & result-oriented person with excellent written and oral communication skills. You have good understanding of project life cycle and release procedures. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing the highest quality products. The following describes some of the job responsibilities: Responsible for designing, implementing and testing user interfaces and backing server capabilities across our network management products Responsible for analyzing requirements and documenting the requirements and design Responsible for implementation of Java, and XML code in JEE, JSF, EJB and JBoss environment Responsible to follow disciplined software development methodology and execute formal code review and developer unit and integration test activities Other Assets: Past development experience with Swing, SOAP / XML / Web services security, Hibernate and Richfaces is a definite asset. Experince in usage of IDE (e.g. Eclipse, IntelliJ), CM such as ClearCase and Modeling tool such as Rational Rose are also assets. Education Requirements ================== You will have a B.Sc. Computer Science or the equivalent degree and a minimum of 5 to 8+ years of relevant industrial software development experience.
