Photonic's leadership team deepens to expedite development and delivery of quantum computing and networking milestones
Coquitlam, BC, May 6, 2024--(T-Net)--Photonic Inc., a leader in distributed quantum computing in silicon, today announced it is scaling up its executive leadership team with industry forerunners in the areas of research and development, materials science, quantum technologies, marketing, human resources, and legal.
T-Net readers will recall that Photonic raised a sigificant investment round of $138.7 million ($100M USD) late last year in November 2023 from organizations including British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), Microsoft, the UK government's National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Inovia Capital, and Amadeus Capital Partners.
The company has raised total funding to date of approximately $194 million ($140M USD).
The company is using the proceeds towards building its team and one of the world's first scalable, fault-tolerant, and unified quantum computing and networking platforms, based on photonically linked silicon spin qubits.
Photonic says it is making fault-tolerant quantum technologies a reality with its unique silicon spin-photon interface.
The technology leverages the memory and computing capabilities of spins and the connectivity of photonics to build one of the world's first scalable, fault-tolerant, and networked quantum computers.
